P-CARE Study

The Peripartum Hypertension and Cardiac Assessment of Remodeling Evaluation study aims to look at how the heart muscle changes (by cardiac MRI) depending on whether women had high blood pressure (hypertensive disorders of pregnancy) as compared to women with normal blood pressure prior to and during pregnancy prior to developing peripartum cardiomyopathy. The study will also look at blood biomarker differences and administer a survey on details about the pregnancy leading up to the peripartum cardiomyopathy diagnosis. This is a multisite study. If you are interested in participating in the study, please email keskinas@upmc.edu.
